what an adorably amazing little local shop!!! my mum and I absolutely love stopping by every time we're in town, and creating a little picnic out of the beautifully fresh produce. the owner (I think?!) explained the story behind the store to us one day and I am blown away and so impressed by it all!! I can't wait to visit later this summer as well.

My favorite market! Love the fresh produce (especially the selection of mushrooms), prepared meals and baked goods. And now, they stock my favorite chilli oil which was previously only available in Alberta and BC (Seven Spice Chilli Oil). Give it a try - its amazing.

What an amazing shop! My partner and I stopped in for the first time today, and were made to feel so welcome. The produce is much better quality than at the grocery store, the staff clearly love being there, and the business model is ingenious. Truly the future of food shopping that we need. Thank you for empowering your staff to make decisions like offering a complimentary juice to new customers. You’re doing it right and it shows.

I cannot say enough great things about the food and all of the lovely staff at The Market & Smor. Their produce is top of the line, always a great selection, and their staff are very knowledgeable. Every time I walk out I am left with the greatest feeling. What an experience. I now being all of my family members when they visit Cobourg. I am a big fan of authentic ramen and they have some of the greatest pork chashu I have tasted! I have also always wanted to try wagyu beef and today my dreams came true. The chef even came out to chat about the various cuts and answer any questions I had. Lovely store, lovely service, this place has completely nailed the quality end of things with superior customer service. Great vegetarian and vegan options as well, as I have family members who do not eat meat. A little something for everyone… And OH the ash bread!
