Cooper is our sweet and loveable, but stubborn 5 month old English Bull Terrier. After staying with Catherine for puppy boot camp he has learned so much in such a short time. He is so much calmer and responds to commands with ease. We have another small older dog in the house and Cooper is so gentle with him now and they play so well together. As we reinforce the new commands with Cooper, our other dog is now picking up on them as well! Looking forward to puppy school to further his learning. Thank you Catherine for taking the time to teach our family how to reinforce Cooper's training at home.
Gracie is a 20 month golden retriever, wonderful , smart and a sweet girl, however Gracie thought she was in charge of the family pack and choose when to listen! I thought I had knew how to deal with her behaviours and how to train my girl LOL! But I needed help! After an extended boot camp with Catherine Gracie is calmer, she listens now! She doesn’t run through the door, there is no more demand barking. She is listening to commands. It’s heaven ! With a bit more help from Catherine, mostly to help ME remember to give the commands Gracie and I will learn together and be stress free! Catherine not only works with the fur baby she works with the owners to learn how to react to our dogs. Which is so important. Thank you Catherine for giving my girl and I the tools we need to be great together
The funny thing is I thought about sending Gracie at 6 months, made inquiries etc, but life got in the way and I thought her and I would be fine without help ……. I’m so glad I trusted Catherine with my girl.
I highly recommend My Bark Avenue Academy, Catherine goes above and beyond to make sure things run smoothly at home. THANK YOU To you and your team.
We can't say enough great things about Catherine and My Bark Avenue Academy!! We have a King Shepherd that is 6 months old and weighs about 80lbs and would lose her mind if another dog came near her, she would bark and jump and act aggressive. We put her in bootcamp with a wish list of wanting that behaviour to stop, she was great with everything else. Well we picked our baby up yesterday and headed to the trailer today, she still barked a wee bit but Thanks to Catherine we corrected her and she was FINE!!!.This is the best decision a dog owner can make to have a well behaved dog,we highly recommend My Bark Avenue. All our Thanks Ray and Lianne and of course Callie
Our 3.5 month old cane corso (Doc) came home from his 8 day bootcamp with Cathy about 10 days ago and we are blown away by the skills he came home with. Before we found My Bark Avenue, Doc behaved like he was the leader in our home. He was mouthing us pretty badly with his sharp puppy teeth, grabbing our clothing, lunging on the couch, and pretty much bullying myself and our 15 year old girls. We couldn’t connect with him and love him up like we wanted to without him thinking we were the chew toy. We were at the end of our rope so I went searching for some help and found Cathy! Cathy got on the phone with me and explained everything she does and I literally felt the stress drain out of my body. I knew we were going to get the help we needed. Don’t get me wrong, I cried as I drove away after dropping him off. I have always had mastiff breeds and we have always taken them to trainings in groups or one on one, but never had I dropped my dog off for training before. But I must say, the cane corso is a different mastiff breed all together and nothing we have been taught in then past was working. When we picked him he was so calm and balanced. He no longer felt like he needed to be the leader. She showed us all the incredible things that he learned and afterwards we were all trained on how to continue at home. He hasn’t put his mouth on any one of us since the day I took him to Cathys. He waits before entering a room or going up the stairs. He no longer picks up rocks or other stuff and if he does he drops it. He listens to "leave it" and "off" and we he can lay on his “place” mat while we cook or eat dinner and he wont move off the mat until we say. The best part is we can squish him and squeeze him and love him up, all on our terms and he will not bite us at all! He just enjoys the love :) It’s such a pleasure to have him and we owe it all to Cathy and My Bark Avenue. THANK YOU!!
This is a picture of Doc on “place” while we cooked an entire meal around him tonight and ate it without him moving at all. We could never have imagined that at only 4.5 months, he’d be behaving this well.
I can not thank Catherine enough for all the help she has provided me with my Boston Terrier puppy. Ella has completed boot camp and came home a completely different, well behaved puppy. Catherine never stopped helping me once boot camp was over. I had a few issues after camp and Catherine said to bring her back i want to help, i am so grateful for her dedication and for never giving up on me or Ella. We enrolled in beginner training classes and they are teaching both myself and Ella so much more then I ever expected. Ella loves going to class each week, she gets so excited.
Catherine and her team are amazing, could not ask for better people !!
