Great teachers and learning environment.
Excellent club for Traditional Judo with great focus on technique development and competition. My kids have also enjoyed the Judo classes. The kids class are very fun and the lessons are conveyed as games to fully engage the kids.
The RA Judo Club has undergone a revival in recent years, transforming from a recreational club to one that serves recreational to competitive players. On average, 18-24 judoka are on the mats during practice, with up to half being black belts, and a large number of girls and young women. The RA Judo Club offers an inclusive, friendly, and safe environment in which to learn the Olympic sport of judo, and is a non-profit club where instructors are volunteers. Instruction covers technical aspects of standing fighting (tachi-waza), ground fighting (ne-waza), sparring (randori), and forms (kata). The club has a Facebook page "RA Judo Club- Ottawa" that provides additional information. The club welcomes new members at any time.
This is my Dad's judo club. It's great.
My daughter joined this club and has had a wonderful experience. Very open, friendly and welcoming club with lots of opportunities for practice. Also very active in regional competitions.
