Great place..friendly atmosphere, Social distancing and masks required. Dog friendly!!
The CFM is the place to be on a Saturday morning if you are committed to supporting local businesses and great farm to table offerings. Our favourites include the Black Walnut Bakery stand for ice cold lemonade and cookies; the savoury goodness of traditional Pakistan street food with vegetable rotis, spinach savory 'rose shaped pastries, lentil patties, fresh salad and an array of dips (also chicken & beef offerings equally as good!); fresh rolls from an adjacent stand with fat pink shrimp (veg option available), and hoisin dip; plus more 'round the world ready to eat offerings. Organically grown veggies, local honey, dog treats, a Lions Club BBQ and often a local one man band who accompanies our shopping expedition with great songs and a fun atmosphere.
My husband and I have visited every farmers’ market in Ottawa and its surrounding areas and Cumberland is one of our favorites! A great variety of vendors, beautiful spot, and an awesome playground right on site (which is a bonus if you have kiddos!).
Nice little market. Black Walnut is there, which is a nice bonus. Really wish you could get a coffee at one of the vendors, though.
They accept debit and cash a most of the stands. Fresh fruits and vegetables at a reasonable price. Baked goodies, they even have fresh meat
