Jonathan Robert Landscape + Design

We chose Jonathan Robert Landscape and Design to complete our interlock in front of our home. We live in a subdivision where people have done their own interlocking or hired door to door interlock people. My wife has dealt with Jonathan Robert in the past and wanted to hire him.

What impressed us the most initially is that he had a design in his mind and he made suggestions. He wasn't an order taker. He also suggested we reinforce our patio area with concrete before he did the interlock so it wouldn't shift (as it was on top of builder compacted soil). We were super impressed with the quote process.

When we received the quote the price seemed high to me (I have never done interlock before so what do I know). I wondered if I could get a better deal so I looked around. Everything that was priced lower was your generic blocks, smooth texture, no design. My wife really wanted the circular steps and we liked the concrete base for the patio so we hired Jonathan.

To be quite honest, if you asked me before I would have said his quote was expensive, but now that the job is done and I see the final product and have had a chance to watch his guys work we are beyond thrilled. The end result pops. While the others around us look flat and gray, ours looks like it has character.

From start to finish the job was done in 3 days and they went deep. That's important in a neighborhood that has tons of trailers from interlock people sitting on the street for weeks on end. They always cleaned up after themselves at every part (one of the workers was even sweeping the street with a broom while they were working), were here right on time (7am) and left around 4:30pm. They even laid sod down after the job. We watched them at various stages and they took the time to do it right.

Interestingly enough we offered for them to put a sign on our lawn and the gentleman said they didn't have signs and right then I thought "I guess if you believe in your work and are good at what you do then you don't need lawn signs to advertise".

We are getting looks left right and centre as people drive by our property. We wanted something that is unique and that is exactly what we got. Honestly, you get what you pay for and we are happy we chose Jonathan and his team. I would definitely hire them again and certainly recommend them.

Removed an above ground pool and replaced it with a circular patio edged with river stone and a natural stone curbing. Finished job looks spectacular. JR Landscapes provided an initial design and detailed estimate. Limited access to back yard so all the moving of materials was done by hand. Work was completed quickly and despite the large amounts of materials going back and forth there was no interference with use of the street for the neighbours. They also did an amazing job on cleanup. Very professional, very easy to work with and great value!

Now I have to rewrite the review, They come in and fix all stuff, I am happy to recommend them for you, and if I build a new house I will have them to work for me again.

We hired Jonathan by word of mouth from our pool specialist to manage the renovation of our backyard. In the end, we are very satisfied with the quality of the work done. Jonathan was always courteous and available to answer our questions and come with creative ideas to meet our requirements and budget. He kept us informed all along the project.
