Not impressed, we had an event hosted by them recently and it could use some work

We used Oxygen Entertainment as our wedding DJ in August. We booked Ray just over a year in advance based on all his positive reviews. Overall, we were a bit underwhelmed with our experience. This seems to differ from other reviews so I'm not sure what happened here but feel it's important to share and tried to write a balanced review.

Over the course of the year, we were in full contact with Ray and we expected him to be the DJ at our wedding. I'm not sure what happened, but it seems like he expanded his roster over the course of the year and other DJ's were introduced to Oxygen Entertainment. This is to be expected, but I would have appreciated better communication about this change. A couple months before the wedding I asked Ray whether it would be him at the wedding to confirm and he told me that it would actually be Jason at the wedding and not him. I was disappointed by this, because all of our correspondence made it seem like it would be Ray and he didn't communicate with us who would be our wedding DJ until I asked him directly. However, Ray did arrange a meeting with himself, Jason, and myself where we reviewed all of our song choices and timeline and provided Jason and Ray with copies of this. I really appreciated this meeting and we left feeling comfortable and excited having Jason as our DJ.

On the day of the wedding, Jason arrived on time and set everything up no problem. The sound quality throughout the night was great and Jason seemed to work well with the other vendors. He was conscious about monitoring the mic throughout speeches.

For the ceremony, Jason played the right songs but the timing was wrong. He started the music too early and because of this, some of the bridesmaids walked down the aisle to the song specifically for me (the bride), and we had to speed up everyone’s walk down the aisle because I was afraid I would be walking down the aisle in silence. Luckily the song was long enough that it played until I reached the end of the aisle. When I spoke to Ray about this afterwards, he said that our coordinator told Jason to start the music when he did, but it was actually our coordinator who noticed he started playing the music too early and tried to signal to him to stop, but it was too late.

The reception songs were fine, I would have liked to hear more of the list I gave to Jason and Ray in advance and was a bit underwhelmed by the flow of the songs but there weren't any major mishaps and people were dancing.

We’ve been to many of our friend’s weddings over the past decade, but one in particular stood out where we were pumped and dancing the whole night! We knew we wanted this DJ at our wedding, and this is how we met DJ Ray. He was very professional and great to work with - he easily handled our ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner music, but things really ramped up at the reception - song selections and smooth transitions kept the dance going! We had an absolute blast and would absolutely recommend Oxygen Entertainment and DJ Ray to anyone looking for a stand-out DJ.

DJ Ray made our wedding day special with his vibes. He played to entertain all of our guests. He even collaborated with our steel pan band and our guests were very happy all night long. Thanks Ray!! He set up our first dance with an ice machine. Oh and he even set up my husband's wireless mic for a special rap performance. My husband's vocals were on point. We heard quality and we saw him spin with class and style. Lots of love and respects for DJ Ray!
