Bytown Catering

Odette worked with us in the months leading up to, and Buck on the day-of for an 85-person wedding at the Great Hall at Fort Henry in Kingston and ensured that it was such a amazing experience for everyone. We had a tasting with some suggested changes to the dishes and all of our suggestions were acted on. The food was delicious and the service staff extremely friendly and helpful. Public health rule changes due to COVID resulted in constant changes to our plan and numbers but Odette stayed on top of it with us and made sure everything worked out perfectly.

We used them for a wedding. We had poor, bland food. It was not hot. The bar server was rude, extremely slow and complained to our guests about having the setup outside with all the bugs. It was October, there weren’t any bugs!!
Have tried to resolve with company, have not had an adequate response or communication.

Update: have resolved some issues with staff. They were prompt to address this review and have dealt with our issues.
My advice would be to have a tasting prior to choosing meal. Odette was great to deal with our concerns.

Bytown catered our wedding at Billings Estate including providing bartenders for our open bar. Everything about the service they provided was perfect and more than met our expectations. They are an experienced team that required little support from us day of so we could just relax and enjoy our wedding. I would definitely recommend bytown catering you will not be disappointed.

Odette helped me tirelessly to ensure the massive order of sweets for my wedding was exactly the way I needed them to be. They were such a hit at the wedding as favours and sweets inbetween photo taking, I didn't even have a chance to take any pictures of how amazing the presentation, packaging and final product were!! :)

They are open to modifying their menu for dietary needs, and are very communicative throughout the entire process if they are able to do what you need. They are also the BEST price for catered food in Ottawa, and I did a lot of research before selecting Bytown.

We were planning to hire Bytown for our wedding but we had to cancel due to COVID related issues. We initially booked with them due to a very competitive offer and impressively creative menus. Before we cancelled, Odette took an immense amount of time and effort to answer all my questions and took care of all the changes we kept making. Her level of attention to detail was outstanding. The overall communication lasted for a couple of months and I could not have hoped for a better customer service. We will be definitely hiring Bytown Catering for our future events.
