Ogilvie Towers

I have lived here for 8 years and honestly in my personal experience, I have loved living here. The building is clean and well kept. The staff has always been very polite, kind, and accomodating. Units are being renovated (In a previous post it did mention noise from renos. In my first 2 years here it was more consistent, but has died down in the last 6 as I think they have gone through most of the units and I moved into a renovated one myself). I also see in the previous post that a maintenance person entered a unit. Again to each their own experience, but for myself they have always left a letter to give notice of entry; they have always knocked loudly a few times before entering anyways. I have never had them take anything (I feel like the post prior is misleading. They aren't just breaking into tenants units. I have always had a comfortable relationship with the men who work here and trust them to do their work and respect my unit and belongings). Anyways, to each their own experience of course. For me, I really value having this place to call home and recommend doing your research based on budget and reviews. PS. Have never had bed bugs, felt unsafe, heard or witness violence. A very family friendly, quiet, building.

I've been living here for the past 5 months in one of their Studio Apartments and have had no issues at all so far. The kitchen is perfect for one person, the only reason I can't give it a 5 star is the fire alarm is way too close to the oven and is way too sensitive, it often goes off when there's no smoke or steam at all.

Other than that I've had nothing break on me so far, no issues with the laundry room and I'm waiting to update my review once the gym finally opens to give my thoughts on that.

Lived here close to a year in a double and recently landed a newly renovated single bdr a few floors down, it's been great so far! Groceries and Blair Stn are a close walk away. Laundry is coin operated so make sure you have change on hand.
The people living here don't cause any trouble and are a mix of friendly and kept to themselves. Pets welcome, and most of us dog owners are happy to see other doggos.
I don't understand other people's complaints here about staff, I've found them to be friendly and helpful. I will agree with the reno noise comments; they'll wake you up at 8am some days.

Good first place to live, lived there for 2 years! We got a freshly renovated unit so it was very light and cozy. We had a 1 bedroom and was a little small but we were happy there. Staff was very informative however they do renovations which means you may wake up to drilling around 8am! Never had any major problems that weren't fixed.
Good place for a first time renter, or student!

I actually currently live here and have been for over a year. You get what you pay for, units are simple when you get them, but you can make them your own. I find the staff to be great, they are there to collect your rent, and if you have any issues they do what they can to fix it right away. However since they are doing reno's all the time, you will hear drilling during the week starting around 8-8:30AM. The laundry machines are a bit outdated and expensive, not really convenient to have to get loonies and quarters, a smart card system would be much better. Its a good place to rent as a first apartment, but I wouldn't call it home.
