Laurus Summer Camp Ottawa

My son had a great time at the summer camp. He says the best part was playing in the gym and getting smoothies and don’t forget about the DJ!

My daughter has an undiagnosed neurodivergence which can cause her to go into manic episodes that are, seemingly, unprovoked and very scary to witness.

On her second day of camp, my daughter had one such episode. The staff were able to help her through it, and she calmed down faster than even her father and I can assist with. Over the week, they kept me updated and she ended up having a really good time.

I’m grateful for the way they responded, with so much empathy and compassion. It’s only too bad she couldn’t have attended more weeks; this was her best camp experience to date.

This was our first year attending day cap with Laurus. We will definitely be signing up again next year!!!!! They keep the kids so active and busy that my son was ready for bed by 5pm! He had a blast and made lots of new friends!
