I really can’t thank Sonya enough for all of her support in aiding my family and I through our breastfeeding journey. This is one investment that families should not skip out on- the earlier the better, I started educating myself during pregnancy with a video chat consultation. For a first time mom who was in the care of an OB, this information was never discussed during my appointments. I still can’t understand how this topic was never mentioned to me by my health care team, in a way it’s setting moms up for failure if they’re planning on breastfeeding and experiences challenges .
My hospital experience after having my baby was challenging, my baby wasn’t interested in eating during her first few hours of life, the doctors tried to scare/ pressure my family and I into supplementing with formula- which was absolutely against my wishes. Fast forward 4 months,I have now been exclusively and confidently breastfeeding my baby since her birth, I have to give Sonya full credit for that. Without Sonya’s knowledge and expertise preparing me for breastfeeding , I do not feel confident that my wishes to exclusively breastfeed would have come true. Sonya is a professional, rich with knowledge and compassion, who will support you and your family through your breastfeeding journey.

Sonya is very knowledgeable, caring, and professional. She helped us with latching and milk supply. Not only did she provide us with various techniques, she gave us resources as well. After I gave birth to my son Malachi I expected to be able to breast feed him right away. That didn't happen. I was expressing milk for him and bottle feeding him. I still had a desire to give it one more try to be able to breastfeed him. I made an appointment with Sonya when my son was about 2.5/3 months old. Malachi was able to latch with a nipple shield 6-8 weeks after our appointment. Within a month he no longer needed a nipple shield. It has been ten months now that I have been breastfeeding my son with no nipple shield. It has been such a wonderful bonding experience between my baby and I.
