Revision Built

We are very happy with the addition constructed for our home by Revision Built. Philip Coe assisted us through the entire process, working with a talented architect to produce a design that integrated beautifully with our existing home. The design was brought to life with precision by the Revision Built team, who were reliable and professional from the selection of materials and components, through to demolition, construction and finishing.

Phil really cares about constructing an exceptional product and uses quality materials without increases to the price agreed to in the contract. During the construction, he informed us of some areas of concern on our existing home and offered to fix those with contract adjustments that were fair and reasonable.

Revision Built stands by their work and were on site until we were completely satisfied. We have been enjoying our addition for over a year now and we count ourselves lucky that we went with Revision Built.

There is a whole lot that I could say about Revision Built, but it really comes down to this: they are simply the best home updating or renovation service that I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

As someone who has owned a number of homes and dealt with a long list of renovations and trades for many different reasons, I can confidently say that Revision Built is the most comprehensive, skilled, and honest company that I have ever come across in the space. Our family was looking to transform our basement into a usable extension of our home, and Phil came up with a design that perfectly reflected what we envisioned. He and Nic then made the design a reality, working with us along the way to tweak things to our exact liking. Once we saw their attention to detail, they even took on additional renovations to other parts of the house that we had not originally intended on having them tackle. The trades they work with are selected not only for their competence but also for their professionalism, and for the fact that they reflect Revision Built's high standards and commitment to customer satisfaction.

They had been working on our project for a few months when COVID hit. Even during such a tumultuous and uncertain time, they went out of their way to make us comfortable while working within the constraints of the quickly-changing landscape to ensure that they were able to finish the essential parts of the job prior to lockdown. Once allowed to get back to work, they were back in right away and finished up efficiently and masterfully. When all was said and done, we were left with the home of our dreams. Revision Built really went above and beyond.

Not only would I recommend Revision Built for whatever your home project might be, we are already coming up with more projects to have them do for us! Our family offers our gratitude to Phil, Nic and the rest of the team for extending our living space and giving us the home we have always wanted.

We met Philip at the Ottawa Home Show in 2018 and while we had discussions with other companies, he impressed us right away with his knowledge of all aspects of the building trade and his ability to provide advice on design. We initially hired him to turn a bedroom into an additional bathroom in 2018 and because of the excellent result we have gone back to him on several occasions in 2019 and 2020 with other projects in and around the house. Each time we were impressed with the work for a number of reasons:
-the design process is very co-operative with Philip making suggestions to ensure that we got the best information to make an informed decision;
-he hires the best people in the building trade, either directly working for his company or third party contractors; they were invariably very good at their jobs while at the same time Philip would supervise them to get the result we wanted;
-when at times things did not work out exactly as initially expected, which is normal when working with a large number of subcontractors and suppliers, Philip would always explain what had happened and ensure that the result was exactly what we had contracted for.

We have no hesitation whatsoever to recommend Philip to anybody who is looking for high quality work for a reasonable price.

After purchasing our large home late October 2017, we wanted to do quite a few renovations - taking down three supporting walls, replacing 90% of carpet and tile floors with hardwood, including the large curved stairs, modernize all lighting, and numerous other updates. And we wanted it all to be done by Christmas! Yes, that was a crazy goal. On the home show we met Philip, from RevisionBuilt and we found him very experienced, and trustworthy. The results: perfectly executed renovations, meticulously done every detail, and - on budget and on time! The RevisionBuilt team and their selected subcontractors worked hard to meet our deadlines, and did a great work. I highly recommend them.

Beginning in 2010, Phil has completed, to our full satisfaction, five major renovations for us which have totally transformed our home: two bathrooms, a kitchen, a family room and, lastly, in 2017, a conversion of our unused attic into an amazing en-suite, master-bedroom. In each of these renovations, Phil and his skilled team accomplished the work with competence and care, determined to derive as much satisfaction from the completed project as we did. The fact that we have entrusted Revision Built with five major renovation projects over several years surely speaks for itself!
