Love these guys
FES is a great company, I have the pleasure to work with them on their CyberRange Team. People are incredibly kind and accommodating so you can genuinely feel comfortable around. The work they do in the field of CyberSecurity is really significant.
I would like to recommend Field Effect Software for internship/full-time.
Excellent Company, Amazing Cybersecurity products and Solid leadership.
Covalence has provided peace of mine for both my business and my non-profit.
Field Effect Software is a fantastic company I had the pleasure to work at for a 3 months. As an intern there, I grew my knowledge base by working in a python environment, for which I experimented with Metasploit, and worked on office task automation. All of the work was done in genuine Agile, with biweekly sprints and demos. This work helped deeply further my knowledge and abilities in python, and introduced me to cybersecurity concepts I did not learn in university.
The work I did at the company was meaningful; as a student, what I did genuinely mattered to the company and to the clients we were working for. The best way to describe the meaningfulness of the work is in this way:
There are no long winded explanations to explain why a particular tasks contributes to the project or to solving a customers needs. It is always clear and concise. As a student, this is one of the best things you could ask for, to have meaningful work that you can be proud of.
Furthermore, the senior management are incredibly kind and down-to-earth people that you can genuinely feel comfortable around. They were very understanding of any mistakes I made during my internship, and my colleagues were very willing to help me with concepts I needed for my work or to learn about the company's products and how they work from a development standpoint.
I honestly do not have any cons I can think of that wouldn't be trivial nitpicks (such as the large window that would make viewing my monitor quite difficult, or the fact that I could not RDP into my account in the board rooms ).
All in all, I recommend Field Effect Software for either a placement or a full time position. Check these guys out!
