I love this little garden hidden in the middle of Landsdown park. It is always well taken care of and the flowers are spectacular regardless of the season. I think this is a hidden gem in Ottawa that deserves a visit. It is a place of quiet and contemplation but is beautiful and serene in its own way. I hope that if you are in Ottawa you have a time to visit this small but beautiful part of our city.
While not among my favourite statues in Ottawa, this is a lovely sculpture that commemorates the 1988 Olympic torch relay. Located on the outskirts of Lansdowne Park, it fits really well into the surrounding area, and is a great addition to the many pieces of public art across the city.
Its a very nice spot for taking pictures - especially in spring and summer since they cycle through a lot of different types of flowers during the seasons.
"Share the Flame" off Queen Elizabeth Parkway in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, was created by Calgary sculptor Vilem Zach to honor the 1988 Olympic Torch Run.
The Flame is located along the Historical Rideau Canal. One of the destination points for the Canadian Tulip Festival. Awesome Photo Op. Near Lansdowne Park & Bank Street. Great place to grab a bite, movie, football game, flea market, Farmers market. Ample parking & public transportation nearby.
