This condo building is very well run. It is very clean and safe. People are friendly and kind. The working staff are relaxed and competent.
Great location! Up to date common areas. And reasonably priced condos
Conveniently located near bus stops restaurants amd grocery stores an easy walk or commute to downtown. Is a well maintained apartment complex
I’ve been living at Chateau Vanier since December 2020 and love it. It’s an amazing location which is a 30-minute walk to downtown and five minute walk to the beautiful Rideau River (Riverrain Park) with its bike paths offering year-round outdoor entertainment for the walker, jogger, cyclist, and roller blader in the summer: and is a cross country ski trail in the winter. These buildings are well kept, exceptionally clean, and have lot’s of amenities: indoor pool, saunas, party room, library, gym, and workshop. They are doing their part recycling and even do green bins and battery disposal. The building has various retailers on site including a convenience store, barber, hair stylist and more. Within steps you can shop Loblaw, the Asian food market, Green Fresh Supermarket, and pick-up fast-food pizza from Louis Pizza and Chinese food. There is indoor heated parking which includes a cleaning area. Of note, if you have an extremely tall vehicle it won’t get into the lower underground parking and the upper level parking has a waiting list for years. Outside has some EV (electric vehicle) charging stations. There is visitor parking in the day and night but for the night parking you do have to leave the vehicle information at a contact number to prevent towing. No car? There are bus routes are right outside the building. For cyclists there are lots of bike racks and a bike room. Living at Chateau Vanier is resort style living and comes with their own claim to fame…Ryan Reynolds lived here when he was around 13 years old. Pitfalls? The two big ones for me is no dogs if you’re a dog lover or have family with a dog in tow and no smoking in the building if you’re a smoker. The staff are amazing, both office and superintendents are always there to help. Thank you!
This is a nice place to live.
• The superintendents in each of 3 buildings along with the management help look, after the property since it was established in 1970.
• Management has a contract with a landscape company who look, after planting the flowers, watering the plants and cutting the grass at on the patio.
• They will make announcements to all residents by intercom such as:
..."The party room will be opened on ____day so you can vote do not forget to take your voters card with you"...
