Our go to Pho place. From start to finish we are always satisfied leaving New Mee Fung. Great complimentary tea, amazing dipping fish sauce for complimentary bean sprouts, the best broth, fast service and friendly staff. If you keep looking MAYBE you'll find another place that checks the same boxes, but why would you waste your time when I'm telling you now that New Mee Fung is as good as it gets?
Authentic Vietnamese food with very low prices! I used to love trying out new Pho restaurants around Ottawa, but after discovering New Mee Fung two years ago, I now refuse to go anywhere else! In my opinion, it is the best pho in the city. It has the best broth out of all the places that I’ve tried and amazing spring rolls. Friendly staff and very quick service. The menu also includes a wide variety of drinks such as bubble tea if you’re looking for that. With the ongoing COVID pandemic, is it very easy to order online for pickup or delivery. Pickup is very quick and only takes about 20 minutes for your order to be ready. Please support amazing local restaurants such as this one!
Big meal, guaranteed to get you full! Cheap prices (not for the beer though), and very friendly staff. Nice location and it doesn't get too packed.
My first dining experience at New Mee Fung was in 1999. This restaurant has been a favourite of my family ever since. Many a birthday has been celebrated over Pho and wraps here. I particularly love their spicy beef sate soup. The best Vietnamese soup I have had in Ottawa. Earlier this month I tried the Bun Bo Hue. It was good but I have had better elsewhere. Last weekend I tried a new menu item: Bun Cha Hanoi. This pork dish was very good, along with a side of Saigon style deep fried spring rolls. But their beef sate soup remains my to-die-for dish. The service is fast and staff are friendly.
The duck noodle was great. Sauce was rich. Duck was tender. There was potatoes and they were well cooked and dissolved into the sauce. There was eggplant as well.the portion was generous. The price was reasonable. The restaurant was clean. Parking on the street was easy on a Friday.
