Efficient and hardworking staff who also manage to be caring and amiable! I had three separate tests on the same day and was expecting the worst with trying to coordinate everything, and was so pleasantly surprised what a smooth operation they run!

Wonderful medical staff if orderlies nurses, physio team, specialists and the residents. Excellent care. Genuine caring people. #1!!!!

The University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI) is Canada's largest cardiovascular health centre. It is located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It began as a department in The Ottawa Hospital, and since has evolved into Canada's only complete cardiac centre, encompassing prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, research, and education.

UOHI cares for more than 100,000 cardiac patients each year, and patient satisfaction is among the highest in Ontario, averaging 98 percent. The Heart Institute is affiliated with the Ottawa Hospital and the University of Ottawa.

The institute also provides training to more than 100 physicians annually and runs an extensive cardiovascular research program, with 60 principal investigators and research funding of approximately $65 million a year.

Great doctors and great care. They really seem to take the time and explain options and medical procedures.

Had bypass surgery. I can't complain about the care.

However, upon registration I was strongly discouraged to ask for a semi private room even though my insurance covers it. I was told by the attendant that there was a 90% chance I would get one anyway and that "I would have to be extremely unlucky to be in a ward". Well I'm in a high traffic ward trying to recuperate. My son went to give them my insurance info and now they say they don't have one available. Funny thing is that taking a walk earlier, many semi private rooms only had one resident.

Very disappointing.

Everyone at this hospital is professional. They are caring and compassionate. They really enjoy working here.
