Revera Alta Vista

I have lived here since late Aug 2008 and find it loving and respectful of residents needs. I lived in another home previously and Alta Vista is such a breath of fresh air.

My sincere thanks and gratitude to everyone at Revera Alta Vista for the care that was provided to my Mother these past couple of months. She was treated with respect and dignity, but most importantly with love and affection. Having lived in her own home for over 60 years, the transition to Revera made her nervous, however from the time we arrived on that very first day, she felt at ease and comfortable and was welcomed by everyone. The nurses, caregivers and housekeeping personnel are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond every day. Lucie Tardif (sales representative) took the time to stop by my Mother’s suite each day to say hello and check in on her. Peter Kocoris (Director) arranged for coffee, lunch and snacks for our family during her final palliative days and reminded us that “we’re here for all of you”.

We are so grateful to have found a retirement residence that not only provides a comfortable, pleasant environment but more importantly, one that employs incredible people that truly, truly care about their residents.

Without hesitation, I would recommend Revera Alta Vista for anyone considering a “second home” for their loved ones.

As soon as I walked in here I felt so welcome by all the staff and residents, I genuinely love being at this home as much as I can, as it's one of the warmest environments I've ever been accepted into. So grateful to have found Alta Vista retirement residence, not only the home itself, but the people within it. The nurses and PSW'S are always so gentle and caring with the residents, and recreation and the kitchen always do whatever they can for the people living here. Anyways, I totally recommend joining the community here:)

Our family has so many people to thank for giving my sister, Mary, wonderful care, particularly over the last several months. To begin, the Administrative staff were so kind to her. She loved the special holiday events for the residents and specialty foods prepared for those events. Whether she attended or not, the staff girls would bring her the treats that had been served. What smiles it brought to her face.
The nurses and PSWs were so attentive and wonderfully caring. They were sensitive to her every need and so gentle in their ministrations. Special thanks to one and all!
The kitchen staff! Wow! So many meals she enjoyed! Among her favourites were spaghetti and lasagna. She was Irish but Italian food was her favourite, and the staff never wavered when she had a special request. Kudos to all of them.
Thanks as well to the specialist staff- so good natured. The laundry, cleaners and general staff. What a great job they do at anything they undertake. One more; the magician at the reception desk. She knows who she is, and of course, sweet Emmie.
Specifically, I want to express my gratitude to Revera for allowing me to stay with Mary these last few months. Also to staff who were just as kind to me. I will never forget you and will forever keep you in my heart.
To sum up, all Revera staff are competent, friendly and lovingly caring. Many thanks to each and every one of you.
