Amazing hike & raised trails.
We come to this trail often - it's set up in almost a grid pattern, so you can extend your hike for as long or as short as you like. Several boardwalks help get through some swampy patches, however in early spring when the ground is still wet some areas get saturated to the point it's difficult to even hike around them. Watch for the many bird feeders where small and large birds, along with various squirrels, like to congregate. Some of the smaller birds will land on the kids' hands if you hold out seed for them. Another good spot is a wooden bridge spanning a beaver pond, where you can have a look at numerous beaver-chewed stumps (see the pic of a chewed tree whose diameter is the size of my torso - I have yet to spot the actual beaver). This trail also links up to the eastern end of Walkley Rd., which makes it a potential safe Orleans/East Ottawa link for a bike commuter.
Great trails, well marked and close to the city!
Great Summer and winter. Easy trail with gradual inclines. No steep hills, but some wooden boardwalks.
Cross country skiing here is great. Lots of options or trails
