Rietkerk Construction

We hired Roberto and Rietkerk Construction for a major house renovation which involved a complete overhaul of our entire main floor (kitchen, bath, living room, removing walls including load-bearing, removing stipple ceilings). It was clear from the moment I met Roberto that this was right crew for the job.
A mere couple of months later, our place was transformed with greater attention to detail than even I had myself, and of such quality that we haven't had a single issue. The crew are workhorses that don't stop until the job is done. They made a point to explain every change to our plan and the reasons why. They also frequently presented options beforehand to help us more effectively bring our vision to life or to deal with something we had not anticipated (e.g., unexpected obstructions behind the walls). Every subcontractor they brought in was respectful of our home and very skilled at what they do, with oversight from Roberto himself.
One thing I particularly appreciated about about Rietkerk was that they sought to understand and fully realize the designs we had in mind. With Rietkerk, you aren't dealing with workers who are just focused on getting the technical job done but looking rough in the end. You're dealing with a group of people who get the core job done (and well, at that), but also understand that the finishing touches matter. Rietkerk seems to understand that even if something is built well, having it look good and in the end is a big part of the battle. I would 100% hire this company again.

Roberto turned our 60s bathroom disaster into the ensuite and main bath of our dreams! As with most old homes, we ran into a number of issues along the way and he was always patient and worked with us to find the right solutions for our design and budget. He is a tiling master and we are so thrilled with the whole finished product.
I work from home and wasn't sure what it would be like sharing a space with a contractor through the project. Roberto is such an awesome guy and I quickly realized it wouldn't be an issue at all. He is friendly, respectful and honestly a pleasure to be around. Any other trades he brought in were also great to work with.
