Speedy Auto Service Orleans

As a new driver of only 10 years, I do not know where to bring my car for repairs. I went to a few places that were very expensive and had work done that was not necessary. I finally went to Speedy auto service in right away felt very comfortable the friendly staff that was there. Dan the front desk commander as I call him is very knowledgeable, pleasant and always very helpful . I’ve been storing my tires there for eight years and have all my work done there on my mini Cooper. The prices are reasonable, the service is fast recently after a doctors appointment with my 96-year-old mother in the car we were unable to unlock the seatbelt on the passenger side as it was locked and caught in the chair lever handle. Luckily Speedy was just across the street and they were able to assist. Nash, help my mother into the shop with her walker and they proceeded to unlock the seatbelt after 20 to 25 minutes. When it came time to pay what I was told was never mind this time. just get your mom home. They are not just a very dependable auto shop, but they are also very caring. Kudos to the terrific TEAM of staff for the many great years of service

Having the A/C repaired on your aging car can be quite a disastrous experience.
The A/C on my Camry 2001 was still working, but very poorly, and not noisy.
The least expensive repair, by more than a $1000, was Speedy Auto in Orleans.
I took it to 3 garages to test it, in the following order. The price I had to pay to get it tested are, including HST:
Garage 1: $199.77 (Paid for testing)
Garage 2: $311.15 (Paid to testing)
Garage 3: Speedy Orleans, Quoted 69.99, with HST = 79.09.

The total cost quoted to get it repaired, including the testing stated above:
Garage 1: $1,625 (testing done plus repair quote)
Garage 2: $ 2714 (testing done plus repair quote)
Garage 3: Speedy Auto in Orleans: $466.57, (testing and repair done).

Warranties were between 90 days and 2 years and varied with the garage, labor or parts. None of the parts quoted were Toyota parts.

At garage #2, I was told the compressor was noisy, which it was not when I started, before going to garage #1. Now it is a bit noisy at times when I start the car. Speedy told me that my compressor was compressing ok and we should try it with a colorant before doing any more work on it. I went to Toronto with it and it worked well, gets very cold, but is a little noisy at times when I start it when the car is on idle. When I took it back to Speedy, as they had requested, they gave me a clear bill of health!

Considering all of this, I have given a 5* to Speedy in Orleans. I you go see them, you can refer to my review here.

One problem is that you have to spend a lot just to find out how much it would cost to get it repaired. Speedy Auto on St-Laurent that I rated 5* in the past had recommended Speedy Auto in Orleans, but being a skeptic, I wanted to check for myself anyway. The recommendation was good.

Would highly recommend this location for your vehicle as well as the St. Laurent Blvd location. Friendly, helpful staff. They provide great, quick service and don't recommend anything you don't actually need, which is hard to find in a mechanic. Great prices.

And another kudos. A few years ago, Speedy's Dan did the best repair on my 14 year-old car, meaning NO repair. After a thorough inspection (many problems for a car its age), he said he could fix for $2,000, but that it was not worth it. He charged me zero for the inspection. That's honesty. So I got a new car. Of course, Dan still takes care of my oil and tire changes.

I brought in my ford escape for a rusted out exhaust and they were able to reuse my catalytic converter which saved me over $700. My regular auto place wanted to change it and not save me any money. Thank you Speedy for the great service. I highly recommend going here.

I have been doing business at Speedy for over 15 years and I have always received great service. Not only is the manager most helpful, he is always making sure the customer is treated with respect. All the staff are courteous and extremely competent. I find that they probably have the best price for labour in town.

I highly recommend this garage for all of your automotive maintenance and repairs.
