Great scones. No seating as it is a take away place

I used to live in Ottawa and thought the sconewitch could not be beat. I returned recently and, though the scones are good, I don't particularly think they are extraordinary. They are fresh, and a nice snack.

These scones are to die for. Buy in bulk. Watch them come out of the oven--you know they're fresh. Get a jar of Devon cream and some jam. I recommend a combo of rhubarb-ginger jam and the currant-ginger scones.

This location is the big kitchen of the chain, as such they don't have an eating area to sit in, and they close early. Be sure to grab some scones for your next fancy brunch!

Okay, I've finished the first half of my scone. Time to go back for the rest of it!

Every Saturday morning I am eager for my scone waiting for the doors to open! Vanilla cream is my go-to with raspberry or strawberry jam and devonshire cream! The staff is consistent and kind as one of the woman and I had nice conversation about cars! It is refreshing that they acknowledge regular customers! Highly recommend!
