I grew up right behind this park so I've spent a lot of time here, but even with nostalgia I wouldn't say this park is amazing. At best it's mediocre and at worse, just sad. The small alleyways are sombrely lit so when walking at night it always feels super creepy seeing a person coming towards you from the patchy woods sections. The play structures are meh. They aren't good enough to run around playing tag (i.e. not enough space to run away or enough structures to dodge onto) or groundhog. The bike lane is alright, sometimes too crowded and the fields can turn into a nice mosh in the spring. The ice rink alright, often had bumps and too many hockey players.
Awsome sauce! but there are teenagers who come and mess it all up
I like this park. The play structure is shiny and new. They have two structures that seem to be targeted to different age ranges. The splash pad is fun. My little one had a great time here.
I understand the arguments against both, however I still like things like sand and water fountains at parks. Didn't like the way the mulch was worn away from under the swings and the bottom of the slides.
This park is great, the only thing I don't like about it is the mulch. A soft padded outdoor floor (some new parks have this) would be better, especially with the splash pad next to it. It can get messy!
