Bâton Rouge Steakhouse & Bar

Delicious. Upon entrance my eager camp was greeted by beautiful and competent leaders to guide us through our impending adventure. The happy butterflies in my stomach were promptly intercepted by hot, juicy meats and creamy chilly coleslaw, bursting at the seams with flavour. The fries as well were up to a similar standard. I will never forget this life-changing experience.

Some might say this was written concerning the owner of this fine establishment, because he cares -- and his staff sure show it.

The overall ambiance was nice, and the booth seating was comfortable. However, you don't get complimentary bread to start the meal. For $6, they'll bring sliced bread. Ouch. The surf and turf on mothers day was disappointing. The lobster tail was very small, almost like a baby lobster tail. My son ordered lobster tail and his was the expected normal size. My daughter's chicken fingers had so much breading that we felt we had to pull a bunch of it off of the rather small pieces of chicken so she had a healthier meal. We spoke to manager, and he simply said we're a franchise and we don't control the food.
I was at another steak house recently and they did give complimentary bread, and I think they offer better choices for a better price. I'll be going to the competition in the future. I'd say Bâton Rouge is ok as a last resort, or if you don't mind paying a few more bucks for the same meal you can get some place else.
