Blackstone Singles

Moved into our new home in Blackstone / Fernbank Crossing in 2014. Back then we were living in a major construction zone. Five years later, we are still living in a major construction zone. I almost collided with a huge dump truck just this morning as I drove my daughter to school. The rate of residential construction growth of this area is totally out of control. And I don't see an end to it. Several near accidents with construction traffic, dump trucks, delivery trucks, flat bed trucks, dozers, backhoes, cranes etc....Two summers ago I was literally trapped in my own neighborhood. At that time, there were three ways out of my neighborhood. All three were blocked because of major construction equipment and road paving crews. Was very late getting to an important meeting and my kids got to summer camp late. Most trades and construction companies do not care for the communities they are working in. To them, its just a worksite. I've had on my vehicle major stone chips, tire blow outs and scratches from gavel/dirt and construction debris on roads in my neighborhood. I will never buy a new home again. My advice to anyone thinking of buying a new home: be prepared for major trade-offs (long-term) as it concerns the above. Yes, new home warranty, etc... but......
