Shirin Market had its good days. The service is going downhill everytime I visit. The butcher at the shop is rude and unskilful. It wasn't like that until recently. The owner is a very nice and polite guy and so is the lady who cooks the buffet. The rest of the staff is a different story. As a result of their employees rude behaviour I have taken my business to Damas Supermarket on Carling. They have a lot more options and VERY skilful butchers who will cut the meat to your order.

Shirin Market is a Turkish managed grocery convenience store, where you can find a range of middle eastern and ethnic food and ingredients, breads, canned goods, frozen items and much more. The shop also includes a section for fresh slaughtered meat "Halal" certified, and a section of ready made food, specialties and hot lunch buffet.
A great place to grab a bite or find what you need of you are looking for middle eastern item in Kanata North near the tech park.

Shirin market is very impressive. It has been improving over the years and only getting better. They basically have all the essentials you need, from meats, to spices, to desserts, to pastries. The food they make for their buffet is great and the samosas are really good. The staff is very helpful, friendly and respectful. The location is also perfect. Not far from any part of Kanata and close to all the hightech companies.
