City View Retirement Community

We are very pleased with the care my elderly legally blind cousin is receiving. We love the friendly homey atmosphere. In two months I know the staff by name and they know mine. The PSW’s are kind ,caring and concerned about my cousin’s well being. They do a fabulous job. The Directors in each area are approachable and have assisted both myself and my cousin in this difficult transition from independent to assisted living. Her suite is bright, clean and well maintained . Her bedding is always clean and she is always well dressed, groomed and comfortably positioned. The food is excellent as is her appetite. I visit regularly at all different times since I am her only relative and she is very homesick. The atmosphere in this home never changes. From a friendly hello from Margaret the Marketing director , to the huge smile and “let’s chat “ from Maryann the head nurse. Isabelle the Director of Care always has time for questions and words of reassurance. In short I really feel we were very fortunate to have chosen this home.

We love City View! It is a new building in Ottawa so close to amenities. Yet private and peaceful. Perfect location at Woodroffe and Meadowlands. Plenty of staff on hand to take care of residents, including nurse's and psw's for those with greater needs. We have a family member who has been there since the day it opened in 2016. She ( our aunt) and we are so impressed with the food, activities, shows and events. I recommend City View family to anyone with friends or family wanting a new home.

This Retirement home is truly one of a kind. Beautiful, respectful, generous, and kind individuals throughout the entire building. From working there for a short period of time, I gathered so much knowledge and unforgettable memories with so many of the residences and staff. There is no other retirement home I would recommend , as this one serves all needs and is so incredibly helpful. I highly suggest that you visit this wonderful place and meet all the people there !

This retirement community is one of the most beautiful establishments I've ever visited. The building is brand new, very well furnished and provides lots of space for residents. Everything that you see is brand new! The resident rooms are spacious, and the dining room is lovely. This retirement community even has a beautiful pub and theatre for their residents to use. It makes me happy and relieved to know how family members are well taken care of here.

My step-father is a resident at City View Retirement and is very happy with the accommodations, home cooked meals, cleanliness and friendliness of the facility.

I go there may times to visit with him and have witnessed this first hand. The staff are great and always attentive to the needs of everyone.

They post a list of their daily activities and often get headline entertainment to play there. They keep everyone busy, from crafts to gatherings.

A great place to be!
