(March 13, 2019, 10:40 pm)Incredible food and service. Food has always come out piping hot, and in large quantities. We've been served by the same waitress both times I've been and the service has been exceptional. Only downside to the spot is that it's so popular now it can get a little cramped for seating - not worth deducting anything off the review over. This is as fine of Italian food as you can get in the city without the pretentiousness of a place like Giovanni's.
(February 26, 2019, 3:13 pm)Definitely my favourite restaurant in Barrhaven. Every meal has been a hit. Appetizers through desserts everything has been spot on, going on 6 visits now. Every guest we have brought by has loved it as well. Service has been wonderful every time.
It is not cheap, but I firmly believe the food is a good value. DO make reservations as it is tiny.
Maybe it is a bad thing I can walk here...
(February 13, 2019, 6:09 am)A very nice, but tiny, Italian Restaurant in the heart of suburbia. Who would have figured that a great tasting Italian restaurant would be located in Barrhaven rather then little Italy. The prices are moderate but not expensive, the service was exceptional, and the portions we appropriate. They did not chintz on the appetizers, and the rolls were nice and warm. I had personal pan pizza which I could not eat and the others had traditional Italian fare but all were satisfied. We will definitely be going back to this one.
(January 18, 2019, 5:30 pm)This is Ottawa's hidden gem! By far the best Italian food in town, everything made fresh and the owners are wonderful people and incredible hosts. Any time my wife and I go on a date and dont know where to go, the choice is easy: La Porto a Casa!

I love this place. You have to have a reservation most nights so book it. Fantastic Italian food in a quaint little spot with the best service in town.
