Ottawa Shawarma Palace

Love this place. Been going there since 2001. I like their old place better then new one

As soon as you walk in, the savoury aroma of garlic, beef and chicken is like being in your dream kitchen. The staff were amazing. The place was very clean. And the food was simply some of the best shawarma I have ever had. The tahini sauce was a bit too vinegary for my tastes, however everything else was A+++++
Will eat here again, and would go out of my way to do so again.

I came for takeout on a Friday lunch and it was extremely busy, but the line moved very fast. I got a chicken platter, small chicken wrap, side of rice, and a drink. The menu said the chicken platter was $15.95, while the small chicken trio was around $10.95. Added together with 13% tax, it should have been around $30.40, but she charged me over $33. I waited for the receipt, but she was on the phone and brushed me off when I asked for it. I wouldn’t have minded tipping at all, but it just felt kinda scrummy to not give your customers a receipt? Also, some pieces of the chicken were slightly pink/raw, so I had to take them out while eating.

Excellent food and service as always. Very friendly staff. Full protective gear, sanitizers, and signage in place - well done.

The food is great. The line can be long but it moves quite quickly. Keep an eye on your order to make sure they don't forget what you've told them.
