Wool-Tyme

Hands down, the best yarn store in Ottawa. All the workhorse yarns are here, and the staff is wonderful at helping parse their vast selection to help you find what you need. They have the fancy stuff, too. If you want fibre for spinning, you are better served at Wabi Sabi on Wellington, as that is one category where Wool-Tyme does not have as much selection .

They sure made me feel woolcome. Get it? Cause it's a wool place. You'll get it later! Anyways, had no clue what I was looking for! Needed a super awesome gift for someone special, and they nailed it! Or... They stitched it! That's not as catchy. I'll think of a better one later.

Staff very helpful as well as being knowledgeable. Large selection of yarn and wool for all your crafting needs.

Even in their temporary location after the tornado, the selection was amazing! There are separate rooms for different weights of yarn and a great variety of price ranges. I found the best selection of sock yarn I have seen anywhere in Ottawa. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I'm really looking forward to going back again.

Beautiful selection of yarn. Have moved down the street due to hurricane damage. Not as much inventory as old location but still lots to choose from. Will b moving back once repairs are done. Staff.... Helpful but a bit "high n mighty". Nevertheless, I love this store and the owner is a sweetheart!
