Dropped in while walking along one of the Ottawa river paved trails. Large park that has been beautifully renovated. A very comfortable park for the family and groups..
I stopped to take a conference call while biking through it earlier this week. When it started to rain I was easily able to move to a sheltered bench. It was very peaceful among the trees watching the squirrels. The washrooms are nice and modern and there are many picnic tables. Over the years have had few work picnics here with a couple hundred folks, always had lots of room and parking.
A great place to meet up with your cycling friends from all over.
Always great to have some urban green spaces to enjoy and relax. Pandemic or not.
PSA #1: Vincent Massey Park offers free parking on weekends.
PSA #2: This park is on federal land and managed by the NCC (National Capital Commission) and therefore under jurisdiction of the RCMP.
Just gonna leave this info here.
Note that federal parks close at 10pm, not 11pm. ?
A great space for families. A lot of green area, walking paths, beautiful views as well as many picnic tables available. There is a huge area where free parking is available. Bathrooms are open to public, however I wish they were cleaned more often since the smell in there is bad.
