Pretty simple place. Not much to see of Deschenes Rapids unless you brought a high powered set of binoculars.
Shallow flats for the kids to explore
Great place along the river, to drop in and catch a sunset sometimes more beautiful in colours than other. There are benches and picnic tables. You might catch a glimpse of some migratory birds like Canadian geese, Mallard ducks, wood ducks, black ducks sometimes a blue Heron in flight. Along the river you will find a path that people can hike or bike on, the scenic stroll is worth your while. You might need to bundle up as it gets can be chilliers by the water. Some people do fishing along the shoreline, take note that the area is protected by park wardens who might check to see that you have a fishing license.
It was relaxing with setting sun behind the clouds with river shining in golden colored shade and birds around
Great views, very calm! Nice spot for family picnics. A few birds roaming about so protect your food.
