Dennis came out and did a great job! He was polite, professional, thorough, and did not try to sell us on any unnecessary parts (as can happen so easily in these situations)! We have been renovating with a lot of dust, and in this case, a routine maintenance seems to have fixed the problem. Our furnace was throwing a code and shutting itself down; he was honest about the fact he did not see any problems, but that often doing a pm is all that is needed for the problem to resolve itself. However, because the furnace was not acting up when he arrived, it is possible there may be further issues. I value this honest approach, and his willingness to start with the simple (and inexpensive) pm since most of the time it is enough to correct the problem. He was also willing to extend his already long day, to fit us in sooner on the schedule. Thanks, Dennis, for great customer service and professional work!
Admittedly, we were initially attracted by the name but we've had Hot, Cold & Freezing out to our home and two rental properties and every time, we've been able to count on them to sell on what we actually need, and not sell us a car because we need a new tire. Yes, their services cost money but we save money -- and more -- every time we call because their expertise extends the life of the appliances and systems we've already put money into. It's great to know that in this day and age, there are still people out there who believe in repairing something of value instead of just throwing it away and buying a newer, shinier, possibly cheaper version of what we already have.
2020-07-13 Another great job by Hot Cold & Freezing —a service call that not only fixed the problem but extended the life of our air conditioner. Yes, their services cost money but the bill was a fifth of what it would have cost to replace the unit. Dennis always brings a smile to the job and leaves it with us when hes done. Recommend: 10/10

The fine folks over at hot cold and freezing are my go to for all my repairs. They have always charged me fairly for the work they do and have been prompt in doing so. After years of dealing with less than adequate service from other companies, I am happy to have met Dennis and his fine team. Would recommend to anyone.
