(July 25, 2020, 3:16 pm)The Detour Store has been a staple of my summers for over a decade and not a single camping trip to Killbear has gone by without a visit to this kayak-ice-cream-camping-knickknack haven. I've rented canoes and kayaks from many places in Ontario and this is, by far, the absolute most reliable place for rentals. The bar that Michelle and Chris set with their warmth, friendliness, attentiveness and expertise has spoiled me forever and I don't think I can ever rent a kayak anywhere else. All their gear is top notch and they have an awesome selection of kayaks! This summer, my friends and I have rented from here, virtually, every weekend and the Detour store (and the kayaking of course) has been the most memorable part of my year! Looking forward to many more visits!
