Hunt's Contracting

We recently used Hunts Contracting to add an addition to our cottage. They also replaced the entire exterior of the cottage including a steel roof, siding, Novikstone and Novikshake, and a 12x12 front porch. Steve was a pleasure to work with he responded promptly to all my messages and any questions or concerns I had. Most of the work was completed while we were not there. Steve always kept me updated with progress and sent me progress photos along the way. His crew was professional and pleasant to be around. I was a bit undecided as the project progressed and changed my mind several times and added more jobs to his forever growing list. Steve welcomed all these changes and completed the job in a timely manner. I would recommend his services.

The company replaced my roof and eavestroughs.
They also renovated my complete bathroom including painting and flooring.
They also replaced my electric fuse box with circuit breakers.
All work was done extremely well and completed in a reasonable fashion.

Being in this industry and working with a lot of contractors, Jamie and his crew were professional, reliable, offered competitive pricing, with a high quality craftsmanship. They were honest, did not try to price gouge and were able to resolve any unforeseen problems quickly and cost effectively. They even fixed the previous contractors deficiencies. We are very pleased with all the completed work, including outdoor vinyl siding, installation of insulation, vapor barrier and drywall (including mudding, sanding and painting), and installation of the pine plank ceiling. We would highly recommend his services and will not hesitate to work with them again.

Fall of 2019, when we called Steve James & sons for an estimate for replacing 8 large windows, and the wood framing in out home. He came a day later, with the estimate and his competitive rate. As he was between jobs he started our project right away. Showing up every day and working long hours with a positive attitude and pleasant manner. We had a few rainy, and very cold days for outside work, but the project was completed in good time, and the site was left clean and tidy.
