Great experience here. The proprietors are absolutely wonderful; very friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The property, including trails, is well maintained and offers numerous activities. The guestrooms are rustic and do not have AC, however they are furnished with fans and include a list of nearby swimming holes to help cool down, if you happen to be there during a heatwave as we were. And the food! The breakfasts were awesome! Making use of fresh ingredients, each dish was as tasty as it was creative!
Jim & Jackie are the ultimate hosts. Their attention to detail in all areas, especially the breakfasts were supreme. Jackie's baked goods and multi-grain/whole wheat bread was heavenly. They were engaging and helpful, full of great recommendations. Highly recommended!!
Jackie and Jim were wonderful hosts! Amazing place for a getaway in the countryside. Breakfast was outstanding and would recommend to anyone who loves a bit of the scenery.
We received the warmest welcome from Jim and Jackie, two of the most hospitable people you will ever meet. The grounds were absolutely stunning. Lots of peaceful trails, and a small pond within a 5 minute walk where you can sometimes see moose. (we only saw the tracks) The breakfasts were amazing every morning, and we still talk about how delicious they were. We have gone back since our first visit, and we will continue to visit whenever we need a weekend getaway. 10/10 would book again!
We had a very cozy stay in the Green Room. The property sits on acres of beautiful forest, with hiking trails along pristine lakes and ponds. It feels like it's in the middle of nowhere, which is honestly ideal and makes it perfect for a good night's sleep.
Jackie and Jim are wonderful hosts, and provided delicious breakfasts I won't soon forget! They kept us full until dinner. I encourage anyone to pay the parks package that includes a set of trail bars you can bring on your hikes, which Jackie makes. They're delicious and can be modified to accommodate a nut allergy!
