Camp Bimini

This is my favourite place on earth. My father went there in the 1950s. I went in the 1980s as a camper with my sister. We both went in the 90s as counselors and Senior Staff. And now our kids have gone as campers and counselors.

Bimini is an incredible camp that does not rely on expensive activities to fill the time. Its real strength is building relationships and promoting interaction between the campers. It is a traditional camp with a campfire every night with songs that you learn and remember for your entire life. It has vespers, and awards for cleaning your cabin, and camp-wide games every evening.

Everything is simple there, and I believe that is the magic of it. It is a chance to get away from the world and meet new people and just have fun. No phones or computers, just human interaction and crafts and songs, and games, and swimming in the pool. The meals are awesome and so are the traditions that have lasted for 75 years. Plus, your kids will come home and make you sing Brown Squirrel if you put your elbows on the table.

My son had a wonderful time at Camp Bimini last summer -- his first overnight camp! He, and his younger brother, cannot stop talking about attending this coming summer. A new summer tradition for my kids.

Also, I have attended the annual Women's Retreat for 3 years and have had such a wonderful time each year! A great way to rejuvenate in nature.

my 3 kids have all spent summers here over the years, myself included. Carol Young, the camp coordinator is amazing. My kids absolutely loved coming here and my youngest is looking to his last year next summer. Bimini truly is a special place in the woods where every child should have the opportunity to be experience the magic that is Bimini.

Absolutely beautiful, well maintained facilities! Easy to get to, but once you are there you forget you are anywhere close to the highway. Counselors were very patient and friendly.
