Today, we decided to go to the lake for first time. I just say now, it made our day in a best way. It is a quiet and calm area with a magnificent landscape. It brings beautiful nature to your eyes.
Beautiful trails and waterfront! It has become my "go to" place for hiking.
We had a great time with family, friends and kids
I've been fishing this lake for 30 plus years. The lake has 3 sections 2 of which do not allow gas powered water craft. Fishing pressure is high on this lake. The water is clear early in the season but gets quite murky as the season progresses to the point that late July it gets very green and not worth fishing. I find fishing from the bridges a total waste of time, but if you can get out on the water there is lots of opportunities to catch some very nice sized large and small mouth bass and pike. I talk to a lot of fisherman on this lake that tell me there is no fish in this lake, I don't tell them I've had a 30 fish day. 90 percent of the fish in 10 percent of the water. Fish the cover along the shores and fish slow and you will be quite successful.
Fishing is okay.
Some small pike at mouths of inlets, and plenty of carp to be caught from shore.
Water is murky, and swimming is generally uncomfortable and not enjoyful.
Fun experience to be with family, especially to just relax at picnic tables while waiting for the carp to bite.
Do not recommend swimming at all, but it's fun to stay on shore and fish around a little bit.
