Walker John R Dr

Dr. Walker is a very direct man. If you're looking for someone with the patience of a saint who will hold your hand through each step of a basic eye exam and praise you for cooperating, he may not be the doctor for you. He's not rude by any means, but he doesn't coddle and doesn't seem to enjoy repeating himself.
That said, Dr. Walker knows his craft inside and out. I was referred to him by my usual optometrist and was able to get in to see him a full two months earlier than any other ophthalmologist in London or Stratford that I called. He immediately knew what was wrong with my eyes despite several optometrists being unable to diagnose the problem in the past. He even stayed after hours to make sure I understood the rare condition with which I'd been diagnosed.
He was tasked with delivering bad news about my eye health and did so calmly and confidently. He answered all of the questions I had and explained to me the exact cause of the problem and the next steps we could take.
Dr. Walker has performed cataract removal surgeries for the last two generations in my family and all of them went smoothly and quickly. I would recommend him to anyone with more uncommon eye problems in a heartbeat.
There is a LOT to be said for experience and I'm very glad I ignored the "warnings" of other reviewers online and went to see this doctor anyway.
