This place has great food. Family owned who are very friendly and the staff are great. If you are driving by, stop in and enjoy.. oh and the butter tarts and pecan pie is to die for.

Not sure what was better, the food or the service! Like many others, we were heading up to Bancroft and getting a little hungry when we decided to take a risk at this road stop place.... sufficient to say, we’ll be stopping on the way home! We got to appreciate the fish, the polish big bear and got some butter tarts for the road. Loved it all! Also such amazing coffee. 5 stars, will recommend to many!

Nice clean restaurant out of the way for many, but worth the drive from Lakefield. Schnitzel was excellent and they have a small bear menu for those that can not have a big meal. Same great food but smaller servings. Also a great bakery with pies, tarts and bread as good as any you will find in the city.

It is something new to try but probably not the healthiest option. It tastes like home made which is a plus but probably not my cup of tea since it’s 4 stars for me. Staff is super friendly and very helpful, they have a food truck out right now so you can sit and enjoy food outside if the weather allows otherwise order, wait 10-15 min, grab and go.
