Absolutely amazing service! Allen was so great to deal with and made a very difficult time much easier and took away so much stress from myself and family. Thank you for being so kind.
Felt comfortable to go there with the family
My husband, mother in law and myself just preplanned our end of life services. After my father in law passed, we knew it was something we wanted to do so our family didn't have to go through anything once we pass. Chris was phenomenal with us!! He was patient, kind, funny and honest. He answered all our questions and was so knowledgeable about everything. Helping us to preplan and take the pressure and and stress off our loved ones is a huge relief. We also feel good to know we are saving huge by paying now. I wouldn't hesitate reccommending Nesbitts and arbour memorial to anyone.
This review is a long time coming as my father passed away almost 2 months ago now. One word to describe my experience would be exemplary! All the staff we met with (Alan, Chris and Stacey to name a few) and all the others that we didn't deal with on a name to name basis we're not only polite and empathetic but went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. I've never had to go through this process before and I like to think of myself as a careful consumer so when I went through the decision making process I thought that these guys would use every sales tactic in the book to try and get me to spend more money while in a vulnerable state. It truly was the opposite. At times during that first meeting, Alan had me and my family laughing. How does someone do that? After everything we offered to buy the staff a meal as a thank you and Chris refused saying your gratitude is enough and that's not why they do what they do. I even purchased an urn from elsewhere that was more fitting to my dad's wishes and they were having difficulty opening it due to the way it was built. At this point they offered me another solution that was above and beyond what I could have expected (at no extra cost to me) and made the process so much easier. They went out of their way to sure my dad had a beautiful resting place and that his wishes were honoured. I've seen some of the reviews that were on Google and frankly it does add up to the same experience that I had. The company literally went out of their way to help us out even making sure that we escorted my dad to the crematorium and allowing me to take pictures through most of the process. While at the same time ensuring that they satisfied their company's policies and privacy for their other customers. My dogs are also a massive part of our family and the ensured that they could be involved throughout the process because it was important to the rest of my family and it would have been important to my dad.
Thank you Nisbett's for turning one of the worst days of my life into a bearable one and streamlining the process so seamlessly that it was so easy to follow and I could manage it in my distraught state.
Truly,
Dee
Up until recently I have only attended funeral services there and all have been wonderful experiences.
Just recently my mother passed away and Stacey our funeral director was amazing. So sincere and very patient with my brother and I who lost our mother suddenly at the early age of 58.
Fortunately for my brother and I, our mother had already made a lot of the arrangements herself and Stacey did not try to up sell or change any of what mom had already planned.
They even went above and beyond for me and my family when the hospital didn't take my mother to Toronto for an autopsy, Marion from Nisbetts picked up my mother and drove her to Toronto herself and then brought her back.
Nola, who performed the service was absolutely wonderful. Even with the very little info my brother and I could give her, she made a beautiful ceremony
After the funeral was over and done, Chris brought us back into the funeral home to help us with after care paperwork. They even went through a checklist with me to make sure i know of everything else I needed to get done.
I cannot thank Stacey, Marion or Chris enough for making the worst time of my life that much easier.
Sincerely,
Robert Downer
