Definitely a kids friendly beach, weeds were getting pretty close to swimming barrier when we were there. Picnic area is amazing, wide open field, was pretty busy.
This is a hidden gem. Went here for the day and it was a hideaway that you can't imagine until you get there. The beach may be small, but the picnic area is beautiful. It's a bit of a walk from the parking lot, but once you see the view, you will be impressed. The gravel road getting there is not the greatest, but being there was a blast. If you like hiking/fishing with lovely trails this is also a great spot. Definitely a must see. You can drink in plastic cups and BBQ!
This is my favorite swimming spot in the Peterborough area truly makes you feel secluded and it's not usually busy busy like sandy lake in buckhorn is
Perfect beach for small children. Lots of shallow areas for kids to play and hunt minnows. Outhouse bathrooms and a change room. Using the beach is free, for camping there is some kind of fee. There's a free boat launch, though it is only good for shallow draft boats and seadoos. Overall an amazing place. Will go back for sure.
Selwyn conservation is beautiful!! We randomly stumbled upon the beach while staying at Emily Provincial Park. The beach is pretty clean and the people were super friendly!! We brought our dog and he had a blast!!! There is a bit of weeds on the shoreline but it's not that serious ? some people do tend to leave their garbage behind which isnt cool at all ? take your trash home with you people!! I'd definitely recommend this place for a nice afternoon outside of Toronto ??
