I have been visiting Teracello Winery since they opened in 2013. I look forward to summer getaways in the county, and I always make sure to stop by Teracello’s for pizza and wine. My background is Italian, and I am very selective when it comes to authentic Italian food and drink. When you visit Teracello’s you are getting the full authentic Italian experience; it’s a little escape to Italy without the heavy price tag that comes with a plane ticket. Their wine has won many awards and it’s very tasteful. I will be honest in saying their pizza is probably the only pizza I will eat if I’m in the county. This is because the owner Tony uses flour that is imported from Napoli for his wood oven pizza. This is especially important to me as a paying customer because I believe the flour from Italy is better quality than anything you can get in Canada when it comes to pizza. I have heard that europeans usually have stricter laws about pesticide use and how the wheat is harvested- I know Italians pride themselves and have a high quality of respect for how their food is produced. I feel better eating this pizza knowing this about the dough (I personally think it’s easier to digest). The main point you want to take away from the flour from Napoli is that it tastes better. This place is also unique from other wineries in the county for its Italian aesthetic- so if you’re looking for some cool Instagram pics this is a nice place to explore. I will always recommend Teracello Winery to anyone visiting the county- it’s a must!
We had a wonderful weekend touring Prince Edward County, but TerraCello was definitely the highlight for us! The winery is a hidden gem as we almost missed it driving by, but so glad we made the stop. There is a beautiful secluded courtyard filled with overhanging vines and we felt like we were transported to Italy. We ordered Margherita and Americano pizzas and they were absolutely delicious!! But the absolute best part was Anna Maria taking the time to chat with us about the history of this family owned winery and her trips to Italy. She was so kind and even offered us her homemade tiramisu (also delicious!). We can't wait to come back and visit again, thank you Anna Maria and TerraCello!!
I attended a wedding at TerraCello. Thanks to Anna and the whole team the wedding couple couldn't have asked for a more perfect event. The outdoor scenery was breathtaking. The sun kissed the vineyard as it set for the day creating a romantic and picturesque landscape. The pasta and pizza were phenomenal; it really was like you were transported to Italy. I hope to visit again for delicious wood oven pizza!
Great food, hospitality, and wine! Anna Maria was such a delight. She made us feel like family. The pizza was amazing! The best I’ve had since I’ve been to Italy. The sauce was just perfect! The wine was really good too! Loved the atmosphere.
We had the wood oven pizza at TerraCello and it was as good or better than any pizza we had in Italy. The dough and the sauce were perfect. Try it for yourself and see. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere too.
