Loyalist Humane Society

I appreciate what they do, however I had dropped a stray cat there sign papers about the fact she was a stray and in heat. She was black and white. I called a few months later to see if she had been adopted yet and I was told I never dropped a cat off there they only have papers for a Kayla that adopted a cat.. so.. they lost the cat I took there and tried to tell me iv adopted a cat instead. They need to keep better track of the animals coming and going. I was heartbroken I cannot find out anything about the cat I found. ! The lady even yelled at me saying I was wrong the their papers is perfect. !! Hahaha no mam you lost a cat dropped off and lost the papers too !.

The many cats at this shelter are very well taken care of by dedicated volunteers whom I would call “angels”. The manager, Anne, knows all 300 (+ or -) by name and ensures that all of them are spayed or neutered. Yet, still they arrive!!! If you live in the area, consider adopting or volunteering — or both.

We adopted a wonderful cat in December. It is sad to see the large number of cats that Ann and her volunteers care for at the facility. We took our new baby “Daisy” to the vet and as we assumed she had a feline respiratory infection, and was given medication. When we adopted her she had runny eyes and nose, and coming from a shelter with a large number of cats we were not surprised. Ann has all the cats fixed and all their shots. Daisy is the light of our life…my husband and love her very much.

This place is so great at helping cats get the care & love they need. There's such a huge over population of cats and kittens everywhere which is why we need more places like this.

got a cat from the loyalist humane society about a year and a little bit ago (he’s in my profile picture) but the staff were/are amazing (we did book an appointment to come see the cats), they were very open to letting us see any cat we thought would thrive in our home, we ended up choosing Marley, he was diabetic and she gave us GREAT advice and showed us how to administer shots, and she was very patient the entire way! He now thrives in our house, gained a little bit of weight and is not diabetic anymore! I want to truly thank the loyalist humane society for letting me bring home my now best friend!! I attached some pictures of him!
