Better late than never! My family took me to Hendrix Barbeque for Father’s Day after hearing all the talk around town about it. Everything was beyond what we expected. Great staff, great food and fast service!
We will be back for more!
Finally getting my hands on this on my third try at visiting this food truck (First time it was sold out, Second time they had to close early for a wedding). I am not sure if it is because of the excitement and expectation I have, but the taste of food is really mediocre. We ordered the Annie’s platter, came with a good portion and variety of meats.
However the food was served cold, the marination did not really penetrate the meat yet, but it has a good char and smokiness to it. Overall a good spot to check out if you are around the area but will not recommend to drive here specifically for it.
Damage: $62 for the platter
Opening hours: Friday to Monday in the summer from 12pm to 6pm, recommend to call before you head down as they often sell out.
Absolutely one of the Best BBQ stops in Ontario. Completely worth stopping in. The Brisket Sandwich was excellent and the Pork Belly one was even better - one of the best meals on Prince Edward County so far.
HIDDEN GEM !!
Meat is phenomenal.
We tried the 3 sammies and fries. (Brisket, chicken and pulled pork)
Fries were excellent! We loved their garlic aioli.
Great stop for a yummy BBQ sandwich in the county. My friend and I shared the pulled pork and chicken sandwiches with fries and a salad. The pulled pork was really good. We liked the chicken too but found the pork moister and better flavoured - the chicken was not quite as moist and had a bit too smoky a taste for us. Still good but just not our fav. They gave us a nice big tasty salad with fresh greens, strawberries, and nuts, and the fries were hot, salty, and cooked through. Yum! The only thing I would change is to ask for a little container of ketchup or (better) self-serve ketchup dispenser, because the two tiny packets of ketchup they gave me were sufficient for less than 1/4 of my fries (although we didn't notice there was aioli on the menu, would try that next time). Would probably give 4.5 stars if it was an option. Service was fast and there were picnic tables outside to enjoy our food. Thanks!
