Sand and Pearl Oyster Bar

Had the most delicious fish and chip dinner I've had on years. The fish was pickerel which is a local catch. All meat.
The fries were great. My pumpkin pie dessert with ice cream, perfect choice for the setting. We are outside, with bonfires and a fireplace to stay warm on this cool windy evening.
Also had the shrimp which was great too.
A wonderful rustic dining experience.

Nathan and his team were absolute incredible hosts! Food was delicious, hospitality was out of this world and they even went out of their way to let me purchase a few cans of local beer because the store was closed before heading back to Montreal!

Would highly recommend - very rare to get this kind of service and kindness!

Great backyard and outdoor spot, next to a cozy fireplace. You have the option of sitting indoors as well!

We ordered a dozen of the Fanny Bay Oysters, which were right in season and amazingly fresh, some of the best oysters I have had in a while, even coming from BC. We had the pickerel and chips, which was battered perfectly! And finally, the bacon double cheeseburger, to which I added the butter poached lobster. They give you a generous amount of lobster, and it was delicious.

If you are looking for a fun spot for dinner with quality seafood, I would recommend this place!

(They do have a surcharge with credit card payments, so keep that in mind, and perhaps, opt for cash or debit)

We liked the cozy atmosphere and the drinks were great. Think of it as a fun, dressed-up diner with a beachfront, cottage vibe. Consistent with the theme, the food was well-prepared but not fancy. Server was a friendly and chatty. We sat inside but the doors, windows were open so the breeze could come in (we weren't dressed to sit outside). It's a good place to spend some time in PEC.

Of the dishes we had, the power bowl stood out. It's not a dish I would normally order but we're glad we did, as it was very good. They also had the best fish & chips we had on the island of the three places we tried. Also, high marks on the old-fashioned cocktail.

Note - I don't think $$ is accurate - we found it to be $$$ - so be prepared for that. For those from Toronto, think Chase prices with smaller portions, but that could be a function of the current environment.

We walked away with very mixed feelings about this place....
Positives: oysters, shrimp, lobster rolls and fish &chips were delicious. Very fresh and well prepared. The server was attentive and very pleasant.
Negatives: the hostess was dismissive about our seating request. The 3% credit card surcharge is ridiculous. It’s the cost of doing business these days. Work it into the menu prices if needed.
Refusal to split the bill due to Covid is embarrassing. That’s why there is software to do this and please don’t say it’s to limit foot traffic inside... people are going inside to use the facilities anyway. The hostess gave us such a hard time when it came to paying the second bill, it left a very poor impression.
And they served Ms Vickies with the lobster roll. I love my Ms Vickies but sure don’t expect to be served a bag (instead of fresh, made in-house chips) with my $38 lobster roll.
