I may not have known it at the time, but when I first contacted Scott Guillot from MaKenady Construction Services Inc., this turned out to be a great phone call. I had a house fire that completely gutted my home with a legal basement apartment. For 2 years, the contractor that the insurance company hired left me hanging with a shingled roof that leaked, windows that where installed crooked and several failed inspections. Finally after 2 years, the insurance company allowed me to find my own general contractor, because nothing was getting done or was done wrong. Did I mention that I am also a senior citizen. After meeting Scott and his construction crew, he was quick to provide an estimate and promised that the work would get done and I could move back in 4 months. After everything I went through with the last contractor, I was very hesitant in trusting another contractor. Scott told me that MaKenady Construction Services Inc. was named after his daughter Makena and his son Kenady and that these names stood for commitment and reliability. Well Scott and his crew proved themselves right. Another good thing was that I never had to talk to anybody else about my home. If I had any problems or concerns, I would talk to Scott and he would take care of the problem. They completed the insulation, the drywall, the kitchens, the bathrooms, the heating, the air conditioner, the electrical, the stairs, etc. They took care of re-engaging with the city inspectors as they also had a negative experience with the other contractor. I wish I would have known about Scott before the house fire, because then I would have known that I had nothing to worry about and that I would be back home soon enough.
Our experience with Scott and the people who worked on the addition to our home was very satisfying. The various teams went about their work in the same manner that I have always applied myself to. They treated the project as if it were there own property that was being worked on. One example is something that occurred on several occasions and consisted of them offering up suggestions for improvements that were beyond the design. I wouldn't hesitate to have them back for another project in the future.
Scott and his team at MacKenady Construction tackled the rebuild of our Chiropractic Office over a year ago. It’s hard to believe we have been enjoying our space for that long already. From selection of our new space to it’s demolition, redesign, permitting, and construction, Scott’s attention to detail with the project was beyond our expectations. He executed our plans on time and on budget with exceptional communication and adaptability at every stage. He and his team even helped with every final small detail to ensure that we could move our clinic with minimal down time. We love every aspect of our new space and are beyond grateful that we chose Scott for the project!
We have had Scott Guillot come in several times to do renovations on our home from putting down wood flooring to fixing our ceiling in the kitchen. We have always been very happy with his work and with those who work with him. He has been very upfront and flexible to meet our needs. We were kept updated on the progress and his honesty and professionalism was very much appreciated. We highly recommend his services.
