380 Gibb Street - Rental Apartments

I have lived here for a year now, and am happy being here:)

This is definitely the one of the nicer apartment building in the area, but one of the more expensive.
when I moved in the apartment it was clean, spacious, renovated and there was a welcome basket in my kitchen.

The superintendent is very kind and welcoming. The building is a nice little community. They treated us to an icecream truck in the summer, and they decorate for the holidays!

Key points:
• The laundry room is a bit small, and you really can’t fit more than 2 to 3 people in there at a time due to how narrow it is.. but the washer and dryers are in good condition and work so it’s hard to complain in that regard :)

•The fire alarm doesn’t go off a million times a month like some buildings, this past year it only went off once.

• you require a fob or a buzz code to get in the first set of doors at the main entrance. Unlike the other buildings nearby where you can get in the first set of doors, but need a fob for the second set of doors (I feel more safe this way)

• They are still doing some work on the building so it’s common that the water will be shut off for a day, or to find workers on the property. But I always keep in mind this is because they are improving the building.

• It’s oshawa so you’ll often see some interesting characters outside, or see the police outside, BUT inside the building is always pretty quiet and calm. (Definitely more older people living here than younger people)

•I haven’t had an issues with my kitchen appliances or anything in the apartment not working, everything seemed somewhat new and in good condition.

• parking is a bit expensive especially visitors parking, BUT it’s like that everywhere so it’s hard to complain about that. (The Underground parking is a plus)

• Some reviews say things about rats and mice.. but I have never seen a rat or mouse on the property (and i often do my laundry at night, and still haven’t seen anything)

Overall if your thinking about living here I would definitely take the chance on 380gibb.

Nice clean building ,just applied to live there. Will update if I end up residing at the apartments.

The building is very clean and well maintained, it is all so very quiet , and walking distance to Oshawa Centre, Super store, Marks work warehouse, location is awesome The building manager Jennifer is great and very professional.
