Relationship with this rescue group began well,. Submitted an adoption application which seemed at least semi-approved as it was good enough to schedule a meet and greet with the dog I was applying for. Drove an hour each way for meet and greet which I thought went quite well. Chatted with volunteer afterwards who stated she would have no issues with my adopting the dog, and that I should email that evening signifying my interest, which I did. Also emailed next day to confirm. Not having received any reply I emailed once more to be sure my emails were received, and was told "yes, they were received", but group was very busy and way behind. After almost an entire month had passed, and still hearing nothing, I applied for another dog elsewhere, was approved, and completed the adoption of my new furbaby within 3 weeks. The dog for whom I applied at TAGS is still listed as available. I have no idea whether the adoption might have been approved, or if not, why not.

I have huge respect for rescue groups and the tremendous time and effort they put into rescue, especially since many, if not most, have other jobs, families, etc. I do believe, however, that qualified and serious adopters deserve a little respect as well, and at least some updates regarding their status as a potential adopter.

The location is wrong. They are at 1970 Concession Rd. 9. They are Pawsome and I look forward to becoming part of the pack!
