Brian Ly Photography

Prior to our session with Brian Ly, we didn't know what to expect, as we've done photoshoots in the past where they had us do more "posing", than natural candid photos. As soon as we started, we immediately felt very comfortable and natural. It was so enjoyable, fun, and we laughed so much! It was the complete opposite of what we have experienced in the past. Being able to shoot with our dog was also a bonus! The experience and photos have surpassed our expectations and we would no doubt recommend Brian to photograph your dream photos too!

We had a wonderful engagement photoshoot with Brian. Before the shoot, we had some nerves around making the photos look natural and not knowing how to pose, but Brian completely set us at ease and made us feel comfortable while taking photos. He is excellent at providing prompts and guidance to bring out our chemistry and what makes us "us." We loved the photo gallery we received--there are so many gems in there we don't even know what to post on social media first! Overall, we highly recommend Brian Ly Photography for any engaged (or not) couples who want some beautiful, natural-looking pictures that really capture their love in an authentic way.

My fiancé and I have never done any kind of photoshoot before, so you could imagine we were a little anxious to get in front of the camera. Brian is just such a cool guy and very easy to work with. He made the process feel very natural and relaxed for us. Brian walked us through his process and helped us to get a better sense of what he was going for. He was very open to our input and allowed us to get the shots we imagined. I love that Brian uses clever methods to get true candid reactions from us and photographs these moments beautifully! Overall, an easy 5-star and a definite recommendation!

Initially I was concerned about looking natural because posing isnt quite my forte, especially with my significant other. I was scared we were gonna look stiff and awkward. I was nervous and so was my boyfriend prior to the shoot, we didn’t know what to expect, but once we got there, Brian took full control and guided us the whole way through! Starting from a quick brief run through of the shoot and some training on how to pose I felt such at ease knowing what to expect and how to pose. At each spot, Brian gave us a couple of different prompts to act out or say to each other to catch our emotions and look natural. He definitely knew how to get the real emotions to come out! Overall the pictures came out so beautiful! I didn’t look awkward like I thought I would thanks to the posing guidance from Brian. I would definitely recommend him as a photographer to anyone who asks because he was extremely professional and knew what he was doing. His guidance made us less nervous and he was able to capture beautiful moments!

My boyfriend and I booked Brian for a photography session and loved the experience. We were really worried about our photos not looking natural, but Brian was able to make us feel comfortable and capture great candid moments. So happy we booked with him, definitely recommend to others :)
