Jim's -- "The Bakery Guy's" -- Apple Fritters have more apples than anywhere else that I've seen in Durham. Daniel's Watch Repair Service has a super helpful owner, and his services are affordable. Betty Lou, a.k.a. "Mask lady" has great patterns, quality stitching, and awesome value. Buddy-in-the-corner sells $0.50 brand name chocolate!...vs. Dollar Store $0.87 chocolate. GNU Books' Comic Skins (Comic book protectors for hanging and displaying your comic books) for $30. Rob "Drop Painting Guy" Standen (craft paints) was AMAZING -- I recommend Rob *hands down* for fostering our little one's creativity. Would much rather help the Little Guy/Mom&Pop operations that work here than Big Box stores. Not busy, nor crowded when I went around 3:30pm on a Sunday.
I enjoy visiting here. I don't go often but when I go, I always find good deals.
The Curtis flea market has many vendors all willing and happy to serve you. The bakery there is truly excellent everything is first-rate they have a bank machine for people that are a little short of cash they got a chip truck that serves really good food and the sausage truck. You will be glad you went all kinds of wondrous and exciting things that you can buy they have two vegetable stands as well so you can buy a multitude of fresh fruits and vegetables well worth the trip
